The project makes use of a real time interrupt (RTI) in cohesion with a infrared sensor (PIR) to sense a person walking in or out of a room. The project also makes use of a servo motor powering it through pulse width modulation (PWM) to manually turn the light switch. The smart switch also may not always be desired to be active in case maybe a dog keeps going in and out of the room turning the lights on and off. To prepare for this scenario we have integrated an ADC pressure pad into our project in order to turn the sensors activity on and off.
